Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) evaluate and treat children who have difficulties with communication. These difficulties may include problems with understanding language (receptive language), expressing their wishes to others (expressive language) or difficulty speaking clearly. The SLP therapist also treats children with eating difficulties.

The SLP assists families in receiving augmentative evaluations and swallow studies to assess eating patterns and achievement. The SLP also assists families with receiving instruction in use of individualized communication equipment.
